nap time

No Comment // Written on Mar 25, 2007 // sleep, stuff to read

for those who know me, i like to take naps wherever and whenever possible.  back in my undergraduate days i’d nap on the couches at the student union or at the best place to doze off…at a big lecture hall during a boring class.  I remember when i had one class on a friday at 7am, a physics lecture and lab…about 4 hours of potential sleep.  During the lecture if i was tired beyond coherence AND had a recorder with me, i’d record the lecture and doze off for the majority of the lecture.  The lab was usually one person actually doing the lab while the rest of the class pretended to do the same whilst copying off the figures and modifying them by tenths of a point to make their figures “unique”.  And usually the lab professor was so tired himself even he didnt care, lol.  So what’s the moral of the story? power-naps are good for you and good for the soul as well.

jetlag

No Comment // Written on Jan 26, 2006 // sleep, travel

so its been 24hours since i returned from colombia, and although my body is in my own bed with my laptop listening to jazz, my mind still thinks im in my bed in bogota watching RCN Noticias while my ipod charges behind me. i think after such time in bogota, my body has adjusted to life in colombia to a point where upon returning to NYC, ive gone through a mini culture shock…yes, its actually possible to be shocked back into your own world. Now with so much to prepare for (school), i feel bored and unresponsive…not because i lost the will to study, but because i lost the physical will to do anything…aka “jetlag”. after 2 days i’ll be good as new, but until then im just too tired to lenghthen this blog even more. so good night everypeople.
