- Jim Carrey is a great actor for serious roles
- i’m growing back my goatee, the clean-shaven look has brought me nothing but bad luck
- good weather’s a-coming…this means it’s back to the gym for me!
- i should do something crazy and impulsive, like go bungee-jumping off the manhattan bridge or fondle a subway rat…do you think she’ll like me more if i’m like that?
- i finished writing my 3rd and final short story…i think it’s as realistic as it gets
- 3am is the new “eh, it’s still early!”
- in about a week, 6am will become the “eh, it’s still early!…oh wait, i see sun”
- just today i realized why people call Wednesday, “hump day”. i thought it meant…never mind

why it pays to be a little geeky

Ok, consider this scenario my cats and kittens: You want to watch a movie with someone special, but she happens to live approximately two states away…do you:

a) wait for a meetup to watch the movie
b) buy the dvd, watch it at your own time, and discuss whenever
c) geek it out a little by uploading the dvd rip to your server, then watch it at the same time as if you both where at the movies

if you chose ‘a‘, then you are half-right…sure you can watch a movie with her physically, always helps, but do a little something no guy has ever thought of before to keep the connection alive, be creative!

if you chose ‘b‘, then you’re not trying hard enough…lose one turn

if you chose ‘c‘, then you’re right! Give yourself a pat on the back, and get ready to upload for movie date part deux

And now you know why sometimes it pays to be a little geeky…the point is to be creative and fun.  sure it’s not the same as watching a movie together physically, but at least you make the remote experience as close to the real deal until the physical rendezvous.  Either way, this is something she will never forget.
